SHUKAN HOSPITAL : IVF PROCEDURE STEPS
In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is a multi-step fertility treatment designed to help individuals or couples conceive. It begins with ovarian stimulation, where fertility medications stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple eggs. The next step is egg retrieval, a minor surgical procedure performed under sedation to collect the mature eggs from the ovaries. These eggs are then fertilized with sperm in a lab, a process called fertilization, where embryos are cultured for several days. Once healthy embryos are selected, they are transferred into the uterus through a simple procedure. About two weeks later, a pregnancy test is conducted to determine if the procedure was successful. If positive, the patient will undergo further monitoring to support the pregnancy.

H/O Primary Infertility since 9 year. She came to Shukan Hospital & IVF Centre by seeing in facebook. She is K/C/O Mosaic turner Syndrome with Primary amenorrhea. She has visited many Hospital and IVF centers for their Infertility problems. All have said that she can’t become Mother.

K/C/O Mosaic Turner Syndrome with Hypoplastic Uterus with Primary Ovarian failure.
TREATMENT
First of all, Estradiol is given for trial of Endometrial Thickness. After 7 days of Estradiol treatment Endometrial Thickness was appropriate. So we decided to give 3-month cyclical estradiol-progesterone to create hormonal milieu. After three month cyclical hormonal treatment we decided to do IVF with donor eggs because she is having Primary Ovarian Failure. Husband factor is normal. Then IVF is done with donor eggs.

B-Hcg positive with twin pregnancy. she delivered two healthy babies.

32 Year Old patient came to Shukan Hospital with a history of secondary infertility with H/O One missed abortion and preterm delivery at 7 months, where the baby, unfortunately, did not survive Additionally, she was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and was undergoing treatment under a rheumatologist’s care.
DIAGNOSIS
Upon evaluation, she was found to have:
✅ 3rd-degree uterine prolapse (severe pelvic organ prolapse)
✅ Poor ovarian reserve (low egg count affecting fertility)
✅ Loose connective tissue, making surgical correction challenging
Considering her condition, we advised Purandare cervicopexy with mesh to provide uterine support and improve her chances of conception.

When should I opt for PGD/PGS?
In case of advanced maternal age,history of genetic disease in family and previous pregnancy,recurrent pregnancy loss and multiple IVF failure PGS would be helpful.If there is H/O known single gene disorder then PGD would be helpful.
Is IUI different from IVF?
Yes.IUI is guided natural conception where only sperms are injected in Uterus at the time of ovulation whereas In IVF the egg and sperm are fertilised outside the body in the IVF Lab and then embryo is transferred in Uterus.
What is the rate of miscarriage in IVF?
It is the same as natural conception which is approximately 10 to 15%.

Yes,it is to be done to rule out early major abnormality in fetus and to screen for markers of chromosomal abnormality.
what is difference between NT scan and 4D anomaly scan?
Nt scan is early scan to rule out major abnormality like absence of cranial vault(anencephaly),abdominal wall defect,major limb abnormality etc.. By 4D scan we can rule out more than 95% abnormality.
Does frequent ultrasound affects baby’s health?
No,ultrasound rays is not affecting baby’s health and development.
